Maruti Suzuki today launched the all new Dzire in India, starting at Rs. 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the petrol variant and Rs. 6.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the diesel variant.
The 3rd generation Dzire is powered by the same engines as it’s predecessor; 1.2-liter K-series four-cylinder petrol engine producing 83 Bhp of max power and 114 Nm of torque and 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine producing 75 Bhp of max power and 190 Nm of torque. Both petrol and diesel engines come with either 5-speed manual gearbox or AMT automatic gearbox.
However, the good news is, since the new petrol Dzire is 85 kg lighter and diesel Dzire is now 105 kg lighter, fuel economy, as well as performance, has gone up.
Maruti Suzuki is claiming the new Dzire is the most fuel efficient car in India with a claimed mileage of 28.4 kmpl, while the new petrol Dzire can run for 22 km in a liter of petrol.
When it comes to interiors, Maruti Suzuki has tried to give the all new Dzire a plush feel with leather-wrapped steering, flat-bottom steering wheel, auto climate control, engine start-stop button and a touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MirrorLink.
Maruti Suzuki is claiming, the new Dzire meets BNVSAP (Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program) regulation and comes with dual front airbags, seat belt with pre-tensioners, antilock braking system with EBD and Isofix child seats anchor points as standard.
Dzire LXi and LDi variants will come with tilt-adjustable steering, basic steel wheels, dual-tone interiors and manual air condition system, and will be priced at Rs. 5.45 lakh and Rs. 6.45 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
