Harley Davidson recalls 57,138 motorcycles!

Harley-Davidson has issued a recall for 57,138 motorcycles after it found an ill fitted clamp on the engine cooler line, which can be get displaced from the oil-cooling line.

Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic, Electrica Glide, Police Electrica Glide, Police Road King, Road King, Road King Special, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, Road Glide and the Road Glide Special manufactured between 2nd July 2006 to 9th May 2017 are suffering from this manufacturing defect.


This has resulted in at least 9 cases being recorded of the oil-cooling line getting displaced and spraying oil on the rear wheel, causing it to slip, resulting in at least two motorcycle crashes and one of the riders getting injured as a result.

Out of the affected models, Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, and the Road King are sold in India.

Harley-Davidson dealers will inspect these motorcycles and either fix or replace the clamp free of cost during the recall process.

It is recommended to get in touch with your Harley-Davidson dealer, in case you own any of these motorcycles.
