These days Bollywood celebrities are leaving no stones unturned for promoting their films. Only yesterday Salman fazed his fans with a teaser, while Bahubali director presented his Producer and Actors, sword and armour :D.
It seems, Movie promotions are getting more and more interesting. Then, how could the original Queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut lag behind.
On 4th May, first poster of her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was released in Varanasi. The entire film crew was present along with Rangoon Star Kangana and Director Krish.
And, then all of a sudden, Kangana surprised everyone by moving into Ganga and taking five dips, chanting Har Har Mahadev!
She was wearing a golden nouvari saree by Sabyasachi with tangerine brocade blouse and heavy traditional jewellery. But nothing could deter the unpredictable actress. She unveiled the 20 feet poster of her movie on Dashashwamedh Ghat, performed Ganga Aarti and then immersed in holy river.
When asked about the reason for doing so. She told media that it was a very auspicious day. She is very excited about Manikarnika. She feels it will be the best movie of her career and wanted to seek blessings of Mahadev. She is confident that the holy dips would bring good luck to her movie.
Kangana has co-produced this movie, based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai. And is pinning high hopes on the project.
Talking about her character, she said that she identifies with Rani Jhansi to some extent.
She said, “I agree that I am rebellious but she (Rani Laxmi Bai) was a rebel with a cause that makes her a hero…I rebel because my instincts want me too. So that makes me a badass. She’s a hero,”
Kangana was accompanied by her mother Asha on the ghat. And looked resplendent in Designer attire. She is thinking of turning into a director after this movie and has even been roped in as a writer for the movie Simran.
