Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), 3,000mAH battery and USB Type-C connector along with a front fingerprint scanner make up rest of the specs.

However, what makes Moto Z2 Play interesting is the ability to add Moto MODs, which an add various additional feature to the phone, like an optical zoom, high-quality speakers or even a projector.

Having said that, without divulging a launch date (Moto Z2 will be launched on Thursday, 8th of June) or even a price, and asking for people to book the smartphone is a big gamble and in a way shows the niche Motorola seems to be targeting with the Moto Z2 Play. However, it remains to be seen, whether or not the gamble pays off.

You can pre-order the phone online at or wait till the 8th of June to book it from one of the offline retailers Motorola has tied up.
