Nokia is back, back with the legendary 3310 in a new disguise and that too priced at Rs. 3310.
While the 3310 has certainly changed, not a whole lot has been added and it remains a basic feature phone targeted at a market, which just needs to make calls, listen to music and maybe at times, play the good ole snake game.
The specifications certainly reflect that.
Nokia 3310 has a 2.4-inch screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, 16MB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card), FM radio, Bluetooth, 2MP rear facing camera (no front facing camera), EDGE browser (no 3G, forget 4G), audio-video player, a few basic apps and a removable 1200 mAh battery, which can supposedly provide 25 days of standby time, 22 hours of talk time and 51 hours of music playback time!
Of course, if you aren’t in the market for a mobile phone with such long lasting battery, then there are several smartphones you can buy for just a thousand rupees or more, which will give you a lot many features than the 3310.
However, none will be as simple to use and built to last, as the Nokia 3310. Even though we feel, it is priced a tad too high and a retail price of around Rs. 2,000 would have better suited the specifications it has.
Nokia 3310 would be available in retail stores across India (not available online officially) starting tomorrow (18th May.)
