Samsung India has launched a new variant of S8+ in India with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, for Rs. 74,990.
The company had launched this variant a few weeks ago in South Korea and decided to introduce it here in India as well.
Apart from the upgrade in RAM and storage space, all other specifications of the S8+ remain the same, and there is no word yet on a possible launch of S8 with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
While for most people, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable via hybrid SIM slot) are more than enough. For a lot of power users, bump in RAM and internal storage is an added bonus, even if they have to shell out Rs. 10,000 more for it, over the normal S8+.
In a press statement issued today, Asim Warsi, Senior-VP, Mobile Business, Samsung India, said, “The resounding success of the recently launched Galaxy S8 & Galaxy S8+ underscores the unmatched superiority of Samsung in the premium smartphone segment. The new Galaxy S8+ variant with its best in class 6GB RAM & 128GB internal memory, will give our consumers the freedom to do infinitely more.”
Samsung S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available from 9th June across India and interested users can pre-book it from tomorrow at Flipkart.
